Bridge Alfa Project

First 11 S.A. implements a research and development project under the Support Agreement (grant entrustment) concluded on 20/11/2017 with the Augere Health Food, LLC Krakow and the National Centre for Research and Development based in Warsaw, co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development under the 1.3 Programme. R&D work financed with the participation of capital fund 1.3.1. Support of R&D projects in the preseed phase by the proof of concept funds - Bridge Alpha, Smart Growth Programme 2014-2020.

Project title: First 11.
Aim of the project: The project aim is to develop algorithms that give the possibility of automatic and early detection of potential health problems and their implementations to the created football player's movement analytics system along with testing its operation.
Planned outcome: The outcome of the project will be to develop algorithms that provide the automatic and early detection of potential health problems for athletes and their implementation to the football analytics system developed by the company First11 along with the support of its commercialization through the implementation of additional product functionality.
Project value: PLN 500,000.00 PLN
The contribution of European Funds: PLN 400,000.00

Project title: Scouting - First 11.
Aim of the project: The project aim is to create algorithms for profiling and recruiting a competitor on the basis of training and match data collected by the First11 sensors (e.g. speed, impact force) and biometric data (height, age, weight) entered manually by the user (trainer or scout) via the First11 platform. The solution will enable finding players with predispositions to play on specific positions already at the early development stage. Additionally, including information about predispositions for injuries in the system will enable making more objective decisions regarding the development of the player. As part of the project, a mechanism will be implemented to motivate users to the desired gamification-based behavior.
Planned outcome: The project will result in:

  • Software for searching for players according to specific parameters
  • Development of the most desirable search set criteria (based on research carried out with the industry representatives - scouts, managers, football coaches)
  • Development of players “profiles” with predispositions for playing on particular positions
  • Implementation of mechanisms motivating users to the desired behavior on the basis of gamification, aimed at motivating users to take such actions that will lead to the expected sports results, leading directly to the increase of physical activity among users of the application.
